Join us for 2016 Night in the Stacks as We Look at Chicago Then, Now and Tomorrow.

At this year's third annual Night in the Stacks, we will celebrate what was made in Chicago...and what will be. Join us in celebration of all things Chicago!

Cracker Jack. Americas first blood bank. The Ferris Wheel. A handful of seemingly unrelated inventions all hail  from the City of Big Shoulders” – our Chicago. At this years third annual Night in the Stacks, we will celebrate what was made in Chicago...and what will be made here in the future--as you enjoy delicious food from Jewell Events Catering, sip cocktails and Chicago-brewed beers provided by Revolution Brewing, and dance the night away to the music of DJ Edwin Konsept.

From technology to manufacturing, see first-hand what innovations started here. The Chicago Public Librarys renowned Maker Lab will make an appearance at the event. Opened in 2013, the Maker Lab debuted as Chicagos first free and publicly accessible maker lab, featuring workshops and open shop for personal projects and collaboration.

We are thrilled by the popularity of Night in the Stacks, and we are looking forward to another fun year, says Rhona Frazin, President & CEO of the Chicago Public Library Foundation.

Hosted by the Chicago Public Library Foundation's Junior Board, Night in the Stacks will be held at the Harold Washington Library Center Winter Garden at 7 p.m. on April 8, 2016. Mark your calendars and come ready to eat, drink, dance -- and test your knowledge of all things Chicago.
