Join the Chicago Public Library Foundation's Junior Board for the Get Carded series. We say, cheers to that!

Mix, mingle and get a library card at any of the following Get Carded events hosted by the Library Foundation Junior Board. We've put together a great lineup of events that are uniquely entertaining and combine the written word for a night of fun while supporting one of our city's most treasured institutions, the Chicago Public Library.

Trivia Night & Harold Washington Library Center 24th Anniversary Celebration, October 8

Who is the Chicago author who wrote Hairstyles of the Damned? (Hint: His first name is Joe.)

Challenge your knowledge of Chicago authors, the history of the Chicago Public Library and much more as we celebrate the 24th Anniversary of Harold Washington Library Center, with a night of trivia!

Topics will include:

  • Mayor Harold Washington
  • Chicago Public Library
  • City of Chicago
  • Popular books set in Chicago
  • Popular Chicago authors

This is a team effort so we encourage you to sign up in groups of four (don’t worry, we will help pair up people who aren't in a group). Groups will compete on the topics listed above for the chance to win the Carl Sandburg Dinner Collection book set. Study up and put your trivia caps on! Cost includes open bar and snacks. No extra cost to participate in the trivia.

The ticket price includes your admission cost, open bar and light snacks, as well as a CPL tee shirt and book to take home.

When: October 8th, 6-9pm
