Back to School-A-Palooza  Get ready for the start of school with the Chicago Public Library! With funding from the Chicago Public Library Foundation, the Library celebrates the beginning of the school year with Back to School-A-Palooza, a series of 20 back-to-school concerts. Back to School-A-Palooza kicks off August 23rd and will run through August 29th with concerts taking place at a various library branch locations. Check the complete schedule of concerts to find one near you. Concerts are appropriate for children ages 5 to 12 and their families. In addition to getting kids excited about the new school year, the Library will feature all of the free resources available for families as they prepare their children for a successful school year. Resources include the Foundation-funded Teacher in the Library program, online homework-help, and various educational materials (available in print and online). Back to School-A-Palooza is funded through donations to the Chicago Public Library Foundation. |
