Preview CPL's New Website

View the new site, currently in beta format, for a sneak peek of its new features and enhancements.
As an extension of our commitment to funding innovation at the Chicago Public Library, the Chicago Public Library Foundation has made an investment of $1 million to fund a state of the art website for our world-class library. While the new site is in beta format, patrons have the opportunity to preview it at chipublib.org and share your feedback while the techs continue working. Some of the new features include:
- Choosing your own username and PIN
- Seeing your place in line for holds requests
- Keeping a list of titles you want to check out in the future
- Keeping a list of everything you’ve read
- Reading reviews by other patrons—and write your own!
- Downloading magazines with Zinio
New features are being added to the site regularly and watch for the events calendar, coming soon. To view the site, visit chipublib.org.
The full version of the new site will launch in early 2014. CPL will also launch free apps for iPhone, iPod Touch and Android.
