Remembering Roger Ebert Journalist, author, critic and friend We are deeply saddened by the passing of our dear friend Roger Ebert. His many achievements as a journalist, author and critic leave a lasting legacy for generations of readers and film enthusiasts--and especially for all Chicagoans. Honoring Roger with the 2011 Carl Sandburg Literary Award was a privilege we will always cherish. Our heartfelt condolences go to his dear wife Chaz, his family, many friends and legions of admirers.
